All Pro Oriental Rug Cleaning provides expert cleaning services.
How often should one clean their rugs?
Industry standards suggest a cleaning at least every year. Test your rug:
- Lift up your rug
- Kick the back side of the rug
- If dust sprays out the front side it is definitely ready for a cleaning.
How are rugs different than carpet?
Oriental rugs are made of wool or silk. If it's a wool rug the fabric comes from the sheep's hair. If it is silk it comes from the silk worm. These are natural fibers. These kinds of rugs can range in price from fairly inexpensive to very costly. They are also very fragile for the most part.
These natural fibers are very porous, which means they are easily stained, and they collect or attract more dirt, dust, pollen, allergens, etc. than the normal synthetic carpet fiber. Since they are porous the dirt, dust, allergens, etc. bond to these natural fibers, which means when you vacuum these rugs more of the dirt, dust, allergens, etc. stick to the fibers.
Why is rug cleaning different?
If your oriental rug is not cleaned properly it can shrink, bleed, brown out, change color, lose its brightness, or fall apart.

Most oriental rugs can be easily ruined during cleaning because they are very sensitive to:
- Heat
- Alkaline cleaners
- Pressure
- Cleaning the rug in the opposite direction the nap lays
We clean oriental rugs the way industry standards suggest. We use neutral or acidic cleaners, then dry your rugs with large blowers. Once the rug is dry, we professionally roll it up for the customer so it is ready for pick up or delivery.
